Birringer, Johannes H. Marlowe's Dr. Faustus and Tamburlaine: theological and thearical perspectives / Johannes H. Birringer. New York: P. Lang, 1984. this book I learned about the plays Marlowe wrote, where he wrote them, what they were about, and what inspired him to write them.

Brandt, Bruce Edwin. Christopher Marlowe in the eighties: an annotated bibliography of Marlowe criticism from 1978 through 1989 / Bruce E. Brandt. West Cornwall, Ct.: Locust Press Hill, 1992. In this book I learned about Christopher's education and scholarship. I also learned of his secret missions and some of his writings.

Bloom, Harold. Modern Critical Views of Christopher Marlowe. New York: Chelsea House Publishers.,1986. The following book was used for the outstanding picture of him on the front cover. It was also used to help define the literary period in which the choice of reformation or deformation played a major role in society in the sixteenth century.

Draper, James P. ed. Christopher Marlowe. Detroit-London: Gale Research Inc., 1992. This is a reference book with a collection of autobiographies and critiques about British writers and literature.

Ericksen, Roy T.. The Forme of Faustus Fortunes. Atlantic Highlands: Humanities Press International 1987. The following book tells about the setting of Dr.Faustus in Whittenburg. It indicates that Marlowe had the notions of theology that gave form to his pessimistic theory of damnation.

Gatti, Hilary. The Renaissance Drama of Knowledge. New York: Routledge Publishing., 1956. The following book was used to view the historical situation in which Marlowe was experiencing. This book interprets the philosophy of mankind doing the Renaissance time and it was dramatized in plays of the sixteenth century.

Goodeman, Jennifer R. British Drama before 1660. Boston. Twayne Publishers, 1991. In this I found where he went to school, and about different event is his life.

Henderson, Philip. ÒChristopher Marlowe.Ó British Writers. Ed. Marshall de Bruhl. Vol. 1. British Council, 1979. This reference book gives a detailed description of Marlowe and concentrates on his early life rather than his writing.

Healy, Thomas F. Christopher Marlowe / Thomas Healy. Plymouth U.K.: Northcote House in association with The British Council, 1994. In this book I learned about the disruptive upbringing of Marlowe and his dysfunctional family.

Jump, John D. ed. Dr.Faustus / Christopher Marlowe; edited by John D. Jump. New York: Holmes & Meier, 1982. In this book I got a different person's perspective on the meaning of Marlowe's poem.

Keefer, Mechael H. ed. Christopher Marlowe's Dr.Faustus/ edited by Michael H. Keefer. Lewiston, New York: Broadview Press, 1991. This book was a collection of interpretations of Dr.Faustus. I learned from one critics point of view about how passionately Faustus felt about magic.

Kelsall, M.M. Christopher Marlowe / Malcolm Kelsall. Leiden: E.J. Brill, 1981. In this book I learned about how Marlowe mixed many of his spy memories into his writings.

Magill, Frank N. ed. Dr. Faustus. New Jersey: Salem Press, 1976. This is a collection of criticÕs analyzations of early and late British authors and poets.

Manning, John. This Blessed Sight: MarloweÕs Doctor Faustus and the Conventions of the Icones Illusrium. Murchville: Norton & Company 1987. The following book interprets the contradictions that goes on throughout the entire play of Doctor Faustus. It helps understand the struggle that confines mankind to do evil.

Mebane, John S.. Rnaissance Magic and the Return of the Golden Age. New York: Nebraska Press.,1989. The following book informed us about the black magic and its several different usages of the sixteenth century. It told about all of the great magicians of the time.

Nicholl, Charles. The Reckoning: The Murder of Christopher Marlowe / Charles Nicholl. Londen: Jonathan Cape, 1992. In this book I learned about the death of Christopher Marlowe and the mystery surrounding it.

O'Neill, Judith. Critics On Marlowe. Coral Gables: Unversity of Miami Press, 1970. This book showed me many different perspectives of Marlowe's play.

Pendry, E.D.. Complete Plays and Poems. Denton, London Rowman and Littlefield, Totowa Publisher.1976. The following book tells the history of the performances of Dr.Faustus and who were the original actors. It also informed us about the situations that the actors encountered while performing.

Pinciss, G.M.. ÒMarloweÕs Cambridge Years and the Writing of Doctor Faustus.Ó Studies in English Literterature 1500- 1900 Spring 1993: 249-264 The following book is about MarloweÕs life in college at Corpus Christi College. It told of the many influences that helped in the development of Dr. Faustus.

Sales, Roger. Christopher Marlowe / Roger Sales. Houndmills, Basingstoke, Hampshire: Macmillan, 1991. In this book I learned of Marlowe's quick and fiery temper, and about his many run-ins with the law.

Sharma, Jitendra Kumar. Christopher Marlowe, Doctor Faustus: a criticism / Jitendra Kumar Sharma. New Delhi: Sterling Publishers Private, 1985.

Trackman, Donejleo. Book of Religions. New York: Townesville Publishing., 1920. The following book was used to find out about the different religions and further understand the differences between the views of the sixteenth century. It interpreted the difference between Calvinists and Anti-Calvinists and the belief in damnation.

Tydeman, William. Doctor Faustus / William Tydeman. Basingstoke: Macmillan, 1984. I learned about the play and what the meaning of the play is and I learned his ideas around it.

Urry, William. Christopher Marlowe and Canterbury / William Urry; edited by Andrew Butcher. Londen: Faber, 1988. This book I gathered information about his stay at Cambridge. I learned of the different times he was away on spy missions and I learned about his scholarships.
